Synopsis
World[edit]
The known world is currently formed by eight regions: Adrea, Amber, Jade, Sapphire, Moonstone, Topaz, Quartz and Amethyst. It's rumored that there might be even more to be discovered.
It's a world populated by fierce fighter girls that combat for money, power and recognition but the more ambitious looks for something else: knowledge.
Dojos[edit]
The different fighters train in dojos. A dojo have a master and usually no more than 10 students, although in big cities there are big dojos with multiple masters and lots of students. Each dojo have two kind of specialties: their [[Fighting Type|fighting type] and their special technique. There are more than 900 known fighting types.
Each dojo has at least two special treasures: their Techniques Book, public and that everyone can access and read and the Hidden Book. This Hidden Book contains the secrets of their unique technique and the magic that powers it. The tradition mandates that anyone that can beat the dojo master can read the book for a brief period of time.
To develop that many different techniques this world has some special magic that powers them and that needs to be researched and trained. It provides supernatural powers, like element manipulations, to super powerful physical abilities and even material creation or destruction. There is a rumor that each fighting type has a unique Hidden Book only known by their Elder Master, the most powerful and wise of their fighters.
Libraries[edit]
In some places there are libraries that collects knowdledge from around the world. Some are tiny and just collects data from their nearby areas, while other famous huge libraries aims to gather data all over the world. This knowledge goes from simply worldy information to the most important: the mysterious magic that lies in the Hidden Books since the legend tells that the one who posseses all the secrets would rule the world or even more incredible things. Some of such things are the possibility of manipulate the space and time or summon an ancient power that could grants any wishes.
With that legend in mind, the fighters started battling all around the world to defeat dojos and gather information to their libraries. These created two things: the World Tournaments System and the malevolous Dark Leagues.
Tournaments[edit]
Starting with the tournaments, there are three categories of tournaments: Locals, Regionals and Worlds. Each category have different tournaments and conditions. The Year is divided in two halfs that qualifies overall to the Worlds.
Since they have become so popular, the tournaments are a huge industry that gives enormous money prizes and the recognition of the people. Also some of them qualifies the fighters to more important ones with even bigger prizes. But the most important of the prizes and the ones that most of the girls looks for are the Hidden Books that they can find fighting there.
The Local tournaments are open to anyone that wants to participate, but in big places there can be a limit on the number creating different types of classification systems, usually based on the dojos number and students, or the previous years results. From there some goes to the Regional tournaments where the winners can read the Regional Hidden Books, books curated by the Elders of the region that sometimes have secrets that aren't in the regular dojos Hidden Books, since these are copies of parts of the Elders.
Another way to go to the best tournaments is to collect gems from the dojos. The World Fighters Body allocates each year a number of gems to the dojos, based on their size, power and past results, so the fighters can travel the world challenging them to go the tournaments. The purpose of this is to ease the burden on the tournament fighters, since there are more ways to qualify. The reason for this is publicly unknown. This system is known as the Regular Season Battle League.
The fighters with more and bigger gems goes directly to the regional or world tournaments. There is a public Fighters Table where the contestants can constantly check their positions and plan their routes.
The Regional and World tournaments have two stages: the Group Stages where the Regular Season fighters that qualified fight to proceed to the Final Stages, a double elimination tournament.
